I try to take things one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.
This used to hang outside the door of my favourite faculty member at university. I had no desire to learn about Facism and Nazism, but I took the course on the strength of my idenfication with that statement and the impression he made on me with his intelligence and animated nature.
I don't know if it is evident from the blog, but Last Born Child is a procrastinator. That is why my Council always have to threaten long and hard before I pay my Council Tax bill. In my defence, how many councils expect you to go queue at the Town Hall and swipe a pay card in 2009?. I also have a tendency to go into survivial or denial mode when I am overwhelmed.
I should be looking for a new job
I should be looking for somewhere to live
I should be sending my passport off for renewal
I should be exercising more and eating better
I should be returning phonecalls from aunts I have nothing in common with
So, what did I do today, when several days attacked me at once? I remembered that I am but only human and I did a Japanese IQ test.
It took me about 60 minutes. I was at work doing other stuff. Apparently, it takes Japanese university students 15 minutes on average.
